A four-year GhIE-recognised degree in the design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure — roads, structures, water and the built environment.
Graduates enter professional civil engineering in construction, infrastructure, consulting and public works, working toward professional registration.
Accreditation: GhIE-certified Engineering Educational Unit where applicable to engineering awards.
How you’ll study
Fundamentals. Engineering or computing foundations and studio/lab habits are established early.
Applied projects. Laboratory, workshop or software projects build technical depth.
Capstone. A final project and professional practice preparation complete the award.

Entry requirements

| Standard entry | WASSCE/SSSCE: credit passes in six subjects — three core (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies) plus three relevant electives — with an aggregate of 24 or better (WASSCE grades A1–C6 / SSSCE A–D). GCE: credit passes in five O-Level subjects (including English and Mathematics) and passes in two–three A-Level subjects. Mature applicants (25+): entrance examination and/or interview. Electives must include the relevant science subjects (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics). |
