BSc Nursing - Professionals (Afternoon)

Overview

A degree for registered/practising nurses (SRNs and diplomates) to advance academically while continuing to work, delivered in afternoon sessions.

Graduates advance to senior clinical, management, education and specialist nursing roles.

Accreditation: Approved by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana for relevant nursing awards.

How you’ll study

Nursing foundations. You build nursing science, clinical skills and professional ethics from the first year.

Placements. Supervised hospital and community placements connect classroom learning to real care settings.

Professional readiness. Later modules prepare you for registration pathways and accountable practice.

Standard entry

WASSCE/SSSCE: credit passes in six subjects — three core (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies) plus three relevant electives — with an aggregate of 24 or better (WASSCE grades A1–C6 / SSSCE A–D). GCE: credit passes in five O-Level subjects (including English and Mathematics) and passes in two–three A-Level subjects. Mature applicants (25+): entrance examination and/or interview. Electives must include the relevant science subjects (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics).
