Overview
The Bachelor of Public Health trains skilled, ethical public-health professionals who can deliver health-related services and promote healthy lifestyles for populations — locally and internationally.
Teaching is multidisciplinary and student-centred. Depending on how you enter, the award can be completed in two, three or four years, so diploma, HND and first-degree holders are not forced onto a single clock.
On graduation you are prepared to work as an allied health professional in healthcare, research, regulatory and industry settings.
Accreditation: GTEC institutional accreditation. Confirm any professional registration needed for your intended practice setting.
How you’ll study
Campuses and session. Regular sessions run at Miotso and Kumasi. Duration is two, three or four years depending on your entry level.
Curriculum shape. A broad public-health foundation — population health, prevention, community practice and professional ethics — with applied learning that prepares you for allied-health workplaces.
Progression. The University also offers a Master of Public Health for graduates ready for advanced community and systems leadership.
Entry requirements

| ATHE Level 3 | Central University ATHE UK Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care holders enter at Level 100. |
| GCE | Three A-Level science subjects (or equivalent) plus credits in at least five O-Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a science subject; General Paper required. |
| Diploma / HND / degree | Relevant public-health or health diplomas (GPA 2.5+) for L200/L300; HND science/health (Second Class Lower+) for L200; post-first-degree science/health for L200. Foreign qualifications require GTEC equivalence. |
