Overview

Monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment are how institutions learn whether projects and policies deliver. Regular assessment shows what succeeds, what must improve, and whether funds and effort are doing real work.

Central’s MSc in Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact Assessment (MEIA) aligns with the University’s mission to form ethically grounded leaders for national development. It focuses on evidence-based policy analysis, impact evaluation and accountability systems — for public service, NGOs and the private sector.

Graduates leave able to design and run evaluation systems, interrogate data, and build frameworks that support integrity and better decisions across government and development practice.

How you’ll study

Core craft. You engage ethical principles and leadership values in M&E apply evidence-based methods for policy analysis; analyse socio-economic and institutional data; and design impact-assessment and accountability frameworks.

Methods. Training covers quantitative and qualitative evaluation tools for designing and implementing monitoring systems that support evidence-based policy and leadership.

Application. The programme is aimed at professionals and graduates who will evaluate programmes and policies in government, NGOs and private organisations — not only describe them.

Entry requirements
